Apple’s new iPhone 16 series is set to be unveiled at the company’s ‘It’s Glowtime’ event today. As is customary, Apple has not disclosed any details regarding the specifications of the upcoming models. However, speculation has provided us with a good understanding of the camera, processor, design modifications, and pricing of these flagship devices.

iPhone 16 pricing in India:

As per the informant Apple Hub on X (previously known as Twitter), the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are likely to keep their initial prices from the previous year, set at $799 and $899 for the 128GB versions, respectively. Furthermore, following the Indian government’s recent announcement about lowering excise duty on mobile devices, a price reduction for the iPhone 16 series in India is expected. For reference, the iPhone 15 was launched last year in India at a cost of ₹79,990.

Design of iPhone 16:

Speculation suggests that Apple intends to implement several modifications to the design of the iPhone 16. To begin with, the tech company is anticipated to adopt a vertical camera arrangement, akin to that of the iPhone X or iPhone 12, replacing the diagonal configuration found in the previous model. This new arrangement is likely to enhance the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus’s ability to record spatial video.

It is reported that Apple plans to substitute the mute button on regular iPhone 16 versions with the Action Button, which was unveiled on the iPhone 15 Pro models last year. In addition, the company may introduce a new ‘Capture’ button that would enable users to initiate video recordings, zoom in and out, or focus on a specific subject.

Analyst Ming Chi Kuo forecasts that the regular iPhone 16 will be available in five colors: black, green, pink, blue, and white. If this is accurate, it would indicate that Apple is discontinuing the blue and yellow color options for the standard iPhone.

Processor of iPhone 16 :

Various sources suggest that Apple is expected to implement the same A18 chip throughout its entire iPhone 16 series, allowing for AI operations to be conducted directly on the device. Nevertheless, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could set themselves apart from the standard versions by offering enhanced GPU capabilities and increased clock speeds.

Moreover, it is expected that the iPhone 16 series will see an enhancement in RAM, increasing from 6GB in the earlier versions to 8GB.

Camera of iPhone 16 :

As per a report from Apple Insider, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to feature the same camera configuration as their predecessors. It is anticipated to include a 48MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture and a 2x optical telephoto zoom, along with an ultra-wide-angle lens capable of capturing images at 0.5x. The ultra-wide lens may receive a minor enhancement, boasting an f/2.2 aperture compared to the f/2.4 found on the iPhone 15, which could potentially allow more light to reach the sensor, thereby enhancing low-light performance.
Additionally, the report suggests that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus might introduce macro photography capabilities for the first time.

iPhone 16 screen and pricing:

Apple is anticipated to maintain the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED screens featuring a 60Hz refresh rate for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The regular models are also projected to keep last year’s pricing of approximately $800.

Nonetheless, a report by Macrumors indicates that Apple may be implementing micro-lens technology to enhance brightness and decrease power usage in the iPhone 16.
