Several new AI features will be rolled out in the coming week. While not revolutionary, these AI additions serve as a subtle reminder of Google’s ownership of Gemini. One of these features includes Gemini being pinned as a chat window on all Chromebook Plus devices.
Another feature, called “Help me write,” can help you write, rewrite, or correct your writing. This feature is integrated into the operating system, allowing you to access it across all apps and in the Chrome browser. In essence, it functions similarly to Copilot in Edge when you right-click.
In addition, there are a few minor updates available, including the option to create AI images for your desktop background or when videoconferencing. These features are compatible with Google Meet, as well as Teams and Zoom.
Finally, Magic Editor is now available on Chromebooks within Google Photos. This widely-used feature, originally introduced on Pixel phones, allows users to effortlessly remove the background from images.
In addition to artificial intelligence, Google has also unveiled new gaming enhancements. According to Google, one out of every four individuals plays games on their Chromebooks, with a 40% rise in gaming on Chromebooks likely attributed to the increasing popularity of cloud gaming.

On the other end of the spectrum, Google presented the Asus CM30, priced at a mere $299, and the HP Chromebook x360, available in both Chromebook and Chromebook Plus variants based on the setup.
The latest Chromebooks are now on the market as of today. Google has also revealed upcoming AI functionalities that are still in development.
The new Chromebooks boast improved performance, better battery life, and sleeker designs. Google has also added new features such as instant tethering with Android phones, enhanced security with the Titan C chip, and access to Google Assistant on select models.
